LASVIT: The Theory of Light

If you follow some design news just a little bit, you must know the Czech company LASVIT won the most prestigious price last year - Milan Design Award. Yesterday was the last day of Euroluce 2019 and we’ve been honoured to make several campaign shots of the light and glass experiments, which are (again) absolutely breathtaking. Meet “The Theory of Light”.

Lasvit - The Theory of Light

DE-LUX-ITY is an experiment with spectrum by Wanda Valihrachova. She experimented with different techniques and chemical ingredients and the result is as interesting and unexpected as the process itself. By the way, almost everyone’s pants got dirty during this part of shooting :)

LIANA of Lasvit’s Art director Maxim Velcovsky resembles a tropical vine and represents nature which can create lighting. This phenomenon called bioluminescence was one of the cornerstones of the whole experiment.

AURA by Maria Culenova reflects the individual phases of the moon as the best representative of light reflection and during the shooting, the reflection was the main theme too.

TRACES installation by Katarina Kudejova Fulinova & Katerina Handlova inspired by the cosmic nebula refracts any kind of emotion, which as a result creates more diverse light. You can be sad, happy or angry and the installation will interact with your current mood.
